“I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes…” (Psalm 101:3, AMP)

In this Psalm, David was determined to honor the Lord with his mind. David knew that what he watched would affect his thinking. If he didn’t guard his mind by choosing carefully what he looked at, he would be drawn to do things that weren’t pleasing to the Lord.

The same is true for us today. If we are watching things on TV or reading things in books or magazines that aren’t pleasing to the Lord, we are opening a door to the enemy. When we look on things that aren’t pleasing to the Lord, a stronghold is built in our thinking. We become enslaved to those wrong thoughts. But, God has given us the power to break those strongholds through the blood of Jesus Christ!

If you are struggling with thoughts that you don’t want anymore, today, you can be free. First, receive His forgiveness and make the choice to change what you are looking at. Let the Lord wash you clean and strengthen you by His Spirit. Focus your thoughts on His Word and do not let any wicked thing before your eyes. As you determine to honor the Lord, He will empower you by His Spirit so you can live in freedom and victory all the days of your life!

Do not gloat over me, my enemy! Though I have fallen, I will rise…
(Micah 7:8, NIV.)

Anytime you set out to do something great in life, there will be critics. If you’re going to be a great businessperson, coach, student, leader or employee, there will be opposition. The more success you have, the more opportunities there will be for distractions. The higher you go, the more haters will come out. When you start stretching to a new level and pursuing what God has placed in your heart, the jealous people, the critical people, and the small-minded people come out of the woodwork and start making negative comments, but you don’t have to let that distract you.

If you are under pressure today, if the critical voices are coming against you, know that it’s because you are making a difference. Don’t let them throw you off course. Instead, dig your heels in, set your face like a flint, and say, “I will not get distracted. I will not get drawn into battles that don’t matter. It doesn’t matter what others think; it matters what God thinks!”

“The vision is yet for an appointed time…”
(Habakkuk 2:3, NKJV)

The scripture says, “The vision is for an appointed time.” That means there is a specific time already determined for the fulfillment of the desires God has placed in your heart. The appointed time is the best time! We have to trust that God can see the big picture for our lives. He knows what’s up ahead. He knows what we’re going to need, who we’re going to need, and when they need to show up. If God did everything we ask on our timetable, it would limit us because sometimes, what we’re asking for is too small. Sometimes the person we think we can’t live without, God knows in ten years they’re not going to be good for us. So He is closing the door right now. Sometimes the promotion we want so badly, if God gave it to us right now, He knows it would keep us from a much bigger promotion that He has three years down the road.

Remember, God has the advantage of seeing it all. The longer I live, the more I trust Him. The more I see His hand of faithfulness, the more I know that His plan is better than my plan. Today, trust that He knows what He’s doing. Trust that He has an appointed time, and it is the best time to bring to pass His promises in your life!

God is good! All the time.

10 Bible Verses to Honor Mom on Mother’s Day
1.) Proverbs 31:10-12 A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. Her husband has full confidence in her and lacks nothing of value. She brings him good, not harm, all the days of her life. *
Children, give your mother examples of how she has blessed you by being the woman described in this passage.
2.) Proverbs 31:26-31 “She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Many woman do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive , and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised. Give her the reward she has earned, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate. *
Has your mother always been there for you? Supported you through life’s ups and downs? This is the verse to begin your tribute to her steadfastness.
3.) 2 Kings 4:30 But the child’s mother said, “As surely as the Lord lives and as you live, I will not leave you.” So he got up and followed her.*
Were you a difficult child recently or when you were younger. This verse is a great introduction to a heartfelt apology for your ‘foolish behavior’.
4.) Proverbs 10:1 A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish son grief to his mother.*
Tell your mother how she taught you empathy by modeling God’s love with her own gentle, giving spirit.
5.) Isaiah 66:13 “As a mother comforts her child, so I will comfort you; and you will be comforted over Jerusalem.” *
Would your mother be thrilled to know you are proud to be her daughter, and hope to be ‘just like her’? This verse says it all.
6.) Ezekiel 16:44 ‘Everyone who quotes proverbs will quote this one about you: “Like mother like daughter.”’ *
Let your mother know you are honored to be made by God through her.
7.) Psalm 139:13 for you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb.*
Let someone know they are honored as John honored Jesus by caring for his mother. This is the perfect verse for stepmother’s or grandmothers who share your home.
8.) John 19:26-27 When Jesus saw his mother there, and the disciple whom he loved standing nearby, he said his mother, “Dear woman, here is your son,” and to the disciple, “Here is your mother.” From that time on, this disciple took her into his home.” *
Is mom far away on this special day?
9.) Genesis 31:49b “May the Lord keep watch between you and me when we are away from each other.” *
Finally , a few verses that offer a blessing, just in time for Mother’s Day and your “World’s greatest Mom.”
10.) Numbers 6:24-26 “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”*

You’ve done me well white and yellow stripe. As a fundamental of my start I will cherish you with all my progress as it is a must of my foundation. I will continue to perfect and learn with what I stand on from the start… Time for a little more colour on my belt and to continue to grow as a ”seed” until I become a growing “green” plant. The more I train the more I gain knowledge of myself and body. I continue to find new and efficient ways to help not only myself grow but my team. I continue to also observe the “tenants of Taekwondo” in my life as I continue to go through my journey with God. I continue to grow with the “student Oath” and learn to become a Champion of freedom and Justice…Lord Thank you for this once again. Thank you for me being able to write and express how I feel in my life through journals and words. Thank you for my heart and soul, but most of all my life on earth. God is good all the time !        Every night I go through the thought of…. LOL  an afro HAHA! seeing how I grow, seeing what my next move is. And to those reading this, if I know you or not, I thank you for being a part of my life some how, just some how because without some of you  I wouldn’t be able to see the points of views in life I’ve never went through or even have been through. God again has blessed me with you guys and I thank him again !! God bless you all and until next time..

This weekend has been pretty interesting on the fact because my brother from another mother came down to visit. I had some very interesting feelings come through me but not all were things I wanted to feel. Met some new people and also met up with old ones.  Got another life talk with a stranger we met the other night coming home in a cab. He’s been driving in the cab business for more than 10 years and he still continues to go through it. We asked him if he liked his job and we got an interesting answer from him. He told us about his plan for his kid’s and family after he gets what he needs to make it a go. The message I got from this man was “you should never let anything pull you down, no matter how much you go through, look forward and see what your there for.” This man saw his family in the end and how much they needed to be on a better life than he had. A cab driver that has everything planned out to get out of a job that he’s been enduring for more than 10 years of his life. It was all because of a decision he made at that time of his life. You have the power to change your life at any point. No ones stopping you but yourself. It crazy how people have no respect for others that serve them. Imagine that serving your city and being spat on with negativity almost everyday of your life. Its emotionally destroying the man. God is so good with this man and his life. Slowly blessing him everyday to get closer to his dream for him and his family. Its crazy what people go through. He showed us his house he had been building in Africa as I can recall and it looked beautiful. He showed us that he was also going back to school to get his degree back up since he didnt follow the first time becoming a electrician. But all in all, its amazing how God works in people’s lives. I saw the struggle he’s been through in his eyes and how much he wanted things to happen in how he spoke. To me these people are the ones that need to be acknowledged, the people who don’t get the respect they deserve. But again who am I to judge. Thank you once again for letting me go through this weekend of ups and downs and I thank you for letting me see another day as  I thank you everyday. God is good … All the time !
